Arpadarai: Ecological balance of Caspian Sea very fragile

The ecological balance of the Caspian Sea is very fragile, Azerbaijani MP, UN Climate Change High-Level Champion for COP29 Azerbaijan Nigar Arpadarai said at the Caspian Blue Horizons Workshop event dedicated to the synergy of science and business for climate sustainability and the Caspian Sea on the eve of COP29, Report informs.

She noted that the reasons for the changes occurring in the Caspian Sea have not yet been studied.

“The Caspian Sea is a prime example of a complex regional agenda. This means that the Caspian states must come together and develop a common vision and climate agenda. If we do everything right, we will have a positive impact not only on the climate and environment, but also on the economy of these countries,” she added.
