111,111 tries to be planted on November 11

Sayyara Mammadova, Head of the Environmental Awareness and Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, said 111,111 trees will be planted on November 11, Report informs.

She noted that brotherly Turkiye's large-scale tree-planting campaign under the slogan "Breath to the future!" held on November 11 every year has become a tradition in Azerbaijan: "Supporting this initiative of Turkiye, 111,111 trees will be planted in the country this year."

Mammadova added that Azerbaijan joined that initiative in 2020: "Holding such large-scale campaigns supports the initiatives that our country joins in minimizing the consequences of climate change, in addition to expanding the greenery."
