Ziyafat Asgarov: "They try to commit terrorist acts in Azerbaijan"

Baku. 11 December. REPORT.AZ/ "We intend to discuss changes to internal military law, generally military and security laws in Azerbaijan, and possibly even adopt a separate law," First vice-speaker of Azerbaijan's Milli Majlis, chairman of the committee on defense, security and fight against corruption Ziyafat Asgarov told Report.

He noted that the main issue in all these projects is to further strengthen the fight against terrorism:

"There is a general intention to strengthen the relevant norms in the fight against terrorism. This is a reality that today the entire world is threatened by terrorism. Our country has such a geographical location which exposes the elements of threat of foreign terrorism targeting us. There is nothing to worry about this issue within the country. Azerbaijan's internal stability is at a high level. There are forces that ignore the development of Azerbaijan, there are centers that do not want our current rapid development, and they are behind this threat. Now, these forces are trying to bring terrorism to Azerbaijan and create turmoil. But they forget that the state security of Azerbaijan is in very safe hands. We also work as a legislative body to further strengthen the legal basis of anti-terrorism measures in military legislation acts."
