'We are rightly proud of being the citizens of Azerbaijan,' President Aliyev says

"Today, Azerbaijan, of course, looks forward with confidence, as the main tasks facing the country have been resolved," President Ilham Aliyev said in his opening speech at the Youth Forum dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Azerbaijan Youth Day on February 2, Report informs.

"Of course, I mean the Karabakh issue. We are confident in other areas. It will take a few hours if I start listing the main events of recent years. I just want to say that today's youth has much wider opportunities, and young people enjoy them. We live in a free country; we live in a country of stability; we live in a country of self-confidence. We are rightly proud of being the citizens of Azerbaijan and young people must be active both to determine their future and to give maximum benefit to the state. By saying this, I at the same time express my heartfelt words, my words of gratitude to the young generation of Azerbaijan because in many cases, especially in the Great Patriotic War, the role of youth has been decisive, and we can rightly be proud of our youth," he said.
