Voting for Azerbaijan municipal elections concludes

The voting process for municipal elections in Azerbaijan has concluded.

Report informs that polling stations opened at 8:00 am (GMT+4) today and voting ended at 07:00 pm.

According to the Central Election Commission, voter turnout as of 05:00 pm was 28.77 percent.

Up to that time, 1,715,291 people had voted.

The elections were held in 5,846 polling stations covering 118 electoral districts across the country.

As many as 16,092 candidates competed for 8,071 seats in 685 municipalities.
