Some 95 percent of the former IDPs from Shusha city will return to their homes after its restoration, said Rovshan Rzayev, chairman of the State Committee for Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons of Azerbaijan, said at the scientific and practical conference “Investment attractiveness of territories liberated from occupation” in Shamakhi, the Upper Shirvan bureau of Report informs.
"They said they were ready to return and expressed their position on this issue,” he noted.
According to Rzayev, the development of territories liberated from occupation and the security of people are among the most important issues.
“Now the biggest problem is mines. We believe that we can quickly deal with this,” the chairman of the State Committee emphasized.
Rzayev noted that all necessary measures are now being taken to return the former internally displaced persons to their native lands.
