“Today, we already see the results of all these steps taken. The fates of 15 missing persons have already been identified. True, this is a small number, despite the fact that there were about four thousand casualties,” said Ismayil Akhundov, the Head of the Working Group of the State Commission on Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing Persons, Report informs.
“Two of the 15 people have already been buried. Others will be handed over to their families soon,” he added.
According to Akhundov, 7 of those people went missing in the Dashalti village of the Shusha district in 1992.
4 of those identified went missing in the Kalbajar district in 1993, and 4 in the Fuzuli district in 1993. 11 of those identified are military servicemen and 4 civilians.
