Voters in Azerbaijan took an active part in the voting, thereby demonstrating their support for the victorious course led by the country’s President Ilham Aliyev, Russian State Duma deputy Alexander Yushchenko at a press conference following monitoring the presidential elections in Azerbaijan, Report informs.
“The voting took place in a disciplined manner, citizens took an active part in the voting. Thus, people demonstrated their support for the victorious course pursued by President Ilham Aliyev,” the politician said.
Yushchenko stressed that Azerbaijan is one of the countries adhering to its independent political course.
“Such countries win the global confrontation when they fulfill three main conditions. The first is the mobilization of all resources. The second is ensuring the unity and cohesion of the population. And the third is a strong economy based on modern scientific and technological achievements. We have witnessed all three achievements during the elections in Azerbaijan,” he said.
