Rebuilding lives: Over 8,500 displaced Azerbaijanis return to Karabakh and East Zangazur

More than 8,500 former internally displaced persons (IDPs) have been resettled in the liberated territories of Karabakh and East Zangazur, Report informs, citing the State Committee for Affairs of Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons of Azerbaijan.

However, the committee also acknowledges the lingering threat posed by landmines and unexploded ordnance in the liberated territories. To address this issue, extensive demining operations are being carried out, alongside educational initiatives to raise awareness about the dangers of these remnants of war.
