Prime Minister of Azerbaijan meets with WHO Regional Director for Europe

Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov met with the World Health Organization (WHO) Regional Director for Europe Hans Kluge on November 19, Report informs, citing the Azerbaijani Cabinet of Ministers.

The meeting emphasized the importance of the COP29 climate conference being held in Baku and the events conducted within the conference framework to reduce the impact of climate change on health.

The parties expressed satisfaction with the level of cooperation between Azerbaijan and WHO, and it was emphasized that the healthcare programs and projects implemented in the country align with WHO priorities and UN Sustainable Development Goals.

"Prospects for cooperation in various healthcare areas, including reducing the impact of climate change on human health, were discussed," the information highlights.
