President: "Selection must be made very correctly"

Our athletes have been promoting Azerbaijan in the world for many years. I have repeatedly said during meetings with the sports community that sport is our state policy and that it reflects the power of each country, President Ilham Aliyev said at a meeting with participants of the 2022 European U23 Wrestling Championship held in Bulgaria, Report informs.

"We have modern Olympic sports complexes in every region, about 50 complexes have already been built, and we must use them effectively. The selection must be made very correctly. There are talented children in the regions, it's just needed to choose them correctly and involve them in sports, sports departments," the head of state said.
