Polling station chair: 90-year-old voter's participation confirms high election turnout

The high turnout in the elections can be confirmed by the participation of a 90-year-old citizen, Gulnara Mustafayeva, the chair of polling station No. 35 located at the Classical Gymnasium No.160 in the 23rd Nasimi-Sabail Constituency, told Report.

Mustafayeva noted that though it's Sunday and the weather is hot, people are actively participating in the voting process.

"There are citizens who say they came from their summer houses. There are people who even took a break from their vacations to participate in the voting. I think this is a very encouraging situation," she said.

She mentioned that the oldest voter at the polling station is 90 years old.

"Based on the requests of 22 individuals, mobile ballot boxes were delivered to their addresses. Currently, 41 observers, including 28 local and 13 foreign observers, are monitoring the election process," Mustafayeva added.
