The Plenum of the Supreme Court will consider the issue of postponing or not transferring trials due to the extension of the special quarantine regime in Azerbaijan, Report quotes Press Secretary of the Supreme Court Mamedli Allahverdi, as saying.
According to him, the session of the Plenum of the Supreme Court on April 23 will decide on the procedure for conducting trials during the extended quarantine period.
Under the decision of the Plenum of the Supreme Court, from March 20 to April 20, 2020, the courts were recommended to postpone all cases, except those that should be considered immediately.
Moreover, the Plenum of the Supreme Court instructed all courts to suspend the reception of citizens, conduct them remotely, via telephone, mobile and Internet connections, and individuals and legal entities to send their applications, including appeals by mail or electronically.
