"We must tell the world community about the genocide against Azerbaijanis, the whole world should know the realities of Azerbaijan," Azerbaijani ombudsperson Sabina Aliyeva told reporters in Guba.
Report's northern bureau informs that this issue did not receive any legal assessment before National Leader Heydar Aliyev returned to power:
"Only by the respective order signed by the national leader in 1998, March 31 was declared the Day of Genocide of Azerbaijanis. The Memorial Complex of Genocide in Guba was established on the initiative of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in 2013 and directly under the leadership of the First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva. Head of State Ilham Aliyev instructed us to always keep this issue in the spotlight and bring the realities of Azerbaijan to the attention of the world community from all international platforms."
