Some residents were burned alive in massacres in Bashlibel, some residents were burned alive, Azerbaijan's Ombudsman Sabina Aliyeva said in connection with the 31st anniversary of the tragic events in the village of Bashlibel, Kalbajar district, according to Report.

"The policy of genocide and occupation pursued by Armenia out of hatred towards Azerbaijan has throughout history led to the brutal murder of thousands of innocent Azerbaijanis who became victims of the crime of genocide," the ombudsman said.
