Official: Zangilan will fully comply with Green City, Smart City concepts

"In the city of Zangilan, which was completely destroyed during the occupation, 20,000 plane trees and 1,000 kilograms of oak seeds were planted to restore the ecosystem," Vahid Hajiyev, the President's special representative in Zangilan district, said at the meeting of heads of diplomatic missions of the Republic of Azerbaijan held in Shusha, Report informs.

According to Hajiyev, the main purpose of this is to restore the environment and build forests:

"Besides, the master plan of the city has also been prepared. The city's uniqueness and its nature were considered during the plan's preparation. The master plan is based on urban approaches such as comfortable living, green, clean and modern innovations. The architectural traditions of the region were studied while forming the unique face of the city and preparing the master plan. Based on this, along with the preservation of the historical environment, modern approaches were also applied," he said.

"The city will consist of low-rise buildings and private residences equipped with progressive innovations. In the future, Zangilan will fully comply with the concepts of Green City and Smart City."
