New Azerbaijan Party to nominate Ilham Aliyev for extraordinary presidential elections - OFFICIAL

The Deputy Chairman of the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP) - Head of Central Apparatus, Tahir Budagov, said that Ilham Aliyev will be the candidate of the party in the extraordinary presidential elections to be held on February 7, 2024, Report informs.

In his statement to journalists, Budagov noted that a meeting of the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP) will be held in the near future.

According to him, a presidential candidate will be nominated at the meeting: "According to the charter adopted at the last congress held in 2021, the authority to nominate a candidate for the presidency was given to the board of directors."
