President: Azerbaijan contributes to global efforts to combat climate change

Azerbaijan is contributing to the global fight against climate change, as the climate issue affects the daily lives of citizens, reads the address by President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to the participants of the International Forum of Ombudsmen themed “Climate Change and Human Rights: The Role of Ombudspersons and National Human Rights Institutions,” Report informs.

The address was read by Azerbaijan's Minister of Justice Farid Ahmadov.

The president highly appreciated the activities of foreign ombudsmen and emphasized Azerbaijan's contribution to global activities related to climate change: "Climate change affects not only the political and social well-being of states but also the daily lives of citizens. Therefore, today's event is aimed at discussing the problems caused by climate change."
