Mines hinder search for missing persons in Azerbaijan

“One of the main problems facing our country is related to persons who went missing during the First Karabakh War,” the head of the foreign policy department of the Azerbaijani presidential administration, Habib Mikayilli said at a briefing on the missing persons in Azerbaijan, Report informs.
Habib Mikayilli said that about 3,900 citizens are considered missing: “6 of them disappeared in the Patriotic War. According to reliable sources, they were subjected to severe torture for many years. Now 10 mass graves have been discovered. Unfortunately, the mines are also hindering our efforts in this matter.”
