Entry from Turkiye to Azerbaijan through the land border with the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic (NAR) is open to all citizens of the country, while it is possible to visit Turkiye by the same route only with registration in the NAR, Report informs.
Azerbaijan's land borders have been closed since the announcement of quarantine in Azerbaijan in connection with the coronavirus pandemic. At the same time, travel from Nakhchivan to Iran and Turkiye was allowed. In July 2022, restrictions were also applied to border crossings from and to the NAR for all citizens of the country. Only freight transport was allowed to pass, along with the regular buses traveling to the NAR in transit through the territory of Iran.
