As of 8:00 am (GMT+4), the snap parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan have commenced across the country, including the 52 polling stations under the jurisdiction of the 62nd Kurdamir District Election Commission.
Report informs that voter activity has already been observed since the morning hours at polling station No. 1 of the 62nd Kurdamir District Election Commission, where our filming took place.
According to the chairman of the polling station, Vugar Nasirov, 1,462 voters are expected to cast their ballots at the station throughout the day, of which 815 are men and 647 are women. The number of first-time voters at the station is 12, while the number of voters over the age of 80 is 3.
The polling station is equipped with all necessary technical equipment, and surveillance cameras have been installed. The chairman stated that no violations have been reported since the start of the election: "We hope that this trend will continue until the end of the day."
Some 53,257 voters are expected to cast their votes across 52 polling stations under the 62nd Kurdamir Constituency Election Commission, of which 530 are first-time voters.
The oldest voter in the district is 101-year-old Lalazar Ayyubova, registered at the 30th Garasu polling station.
