Internationally wanted person extradited to Azerbaijan

The internationally wanted person was extradited to Azerbaijan, Report informs, citing the Prosecutor General’s Office.

Based on the request of the Prosecutor General's Office, the authorities of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland made a decision on the extradition of Moldovan citizen Ion Secrieru in accordance with the requirements of the European Convention "On Extradition" dated 13.12.1957.

He is accused of committing the crimes of theft by causing a large amount of damage, as well as illegal interference with the computer system or computer data of publicly important infrastructure objects.

The accused was detained in the territory of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and was brought to Azerbaijan today accompanied by a special convoy of the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice.
