Information about the part of the former contact line passing through Khojavand, Tartar, and Goranboy districts, as well as the areas mined by the Armenian military units when they retreated in November 2020, has not yet been provided, the Azerbaijan Mine Action Agency (ANAMA) said in a statement, Report informs.
It was noted that the accuracy of the information provided by Armenia in 2021 about the mined areas in the Agdam, Fuzuli, Jabrayil, and Zangilan districts was 25%.
"If we look at the statistics of mine incidents, we can see that not only the areas along the former contact line but also settlements, agricultural fields, riverbanks, forest massifs, and cemeteries are highly contaminated with mines. After the second Karabakh war, 247 of the 345 mine victims were killed or injured in varying degrees as a result of mine incidents outside the former contact line," reads the statement.
