"As for income, I want to say that there is such a general opinion that high oil prices bring additional income to exporters. Yes, it's true. Our income has grown," Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said in an interview with the Italian newspaper Il Sole 24 Ore's reporter Roberto Bongiorni on September 2 in the city of Cernobbio, Report informs.
"But at the same time, we have lost funds in the capital markets, because the assets of our State Oil Fund are in various instruments. The capital market collapsed. Therefore, we lost money, like other sovereign funds, but not as much. Some sovereign wealth funds have lost more than $100 billion. We have lost 2-3 billion US dollars," the head of state said.
