Hasanov: No int'l organization reacted to cultural genocide committed by Armenia

Not a single international organization reacted to the cultural genocide committed by Armenia against Azerbaijan, Executive Director of the Baku International Center for Multiculturalism Ravan Hasanov said at an event dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Declaration on the Rights of Persons Belonging to National or Ethnic, Religious and Linguistic Minorities, Report informs.

"Of course, this hurts stability and peaceful coexistence in the region," he said.

Speaking at the event within the framework of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly, Ravan Hasanov stressed that while multiculturalism is one of the essential directions of state policy in Azerbaijan, for the past 30 years, Armenia has purposefully committed acts of vandalism against the cultural heritage of Azerbaijan; in the territories liberated from the occupation, historical and religious sites were destroyed, monuments and temples were utterly demolished and devastated.
