Government on artificially inflating prices in Azerbaijan

Preventive measures have been taken in connection with the artificial inflating of prices for flour and bread.

Report informs that this was noted at a meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Ali Asadov, dedicated to food security, price increases, and challenges ahead.

In this regard, it was noted that the State Service for Antimonopoly Control and Supervision of the Consumer Market under the Ministry of Economy has strengthened control measures, daily monitoring is carried out in 68 cities and regions of the republic, during which control over the sale, weight, and cost of bread is carried out.
