Community: Western Azerbaijanis also suffered from colonialism

Western Azerbaijanis also suffered from colonialism, the Spokesperson of the Western Azerbaijan Community, Ulviyya Zulfiqar, said at the event “Towards the Complete Elimination of Colonialism,” organized in Baku by CAIR within the Ministerial Meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) Coordinating Bureau, Report informs.

According to her, the people who were displaced from their native land in the last 200 years have united in the Western Azerbaijan Community: "These people were deported from the territory of present-day Armenia. Western Azerbaijanis also suffered from colonialism. Deportation is also a crime against humanity."

The spokesperson said that there are also people who were subjected to massacres: "We have appeals to Armenia that remain unanswered. Armenia is a monoethnic state."
