Community chairman: Youth plays important role in disseminating realities of Western Azerbaijan

At the initiative of the Youth Council of the Western Azerbaijan Community, an event "Return to Western Azerbaijan" has been held, Report informs.

It was attended by community leadership, deputies, youth representatives, and media. Opening the meeting, Chairman of the WAC Board Aziz Alakbarli emphasized the key role of youth in conveying the realities of Western Azerbaijan to the global community. Chairman of the WAC Council of Elders Ahliman Amiraslanli noted the importance of state youth policy in the country.

"Education of youth in leading world universities at state expense is part of this policy," he emphasized.

The head of the WAC Youth Council Shahin Ismayilov drew attention to the importance of spreading information about deportations and genocide experienced by Western Azerbaijanis in the past century. According to him, youth plays a key role in conveying these realities through various platforms, social networks, and international activities.

"These lands belong to us and our ancestors. We have the right to visit the graves of our loved ones. This is not about territorial claims, but about human rights," he added.

The event concluded with award ceremonies for youth representatives and youth organizations for effective cooperation with the community.
