Tomorrow, for the first time in 30 years, the voting will take place in the territories of Azerbaijan liberated from occupation, Chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC) Mazahir Panahov said at a press conference, Report informs.
“I believe that the main significance of tomorrow’s elections is that they will be held throughout the entire territory of Azerbaijan. For more than 30 years, the territories of our country remained under occupation. However, after the 44-day Patriotic War, Azerbaijan restored its sovereignty, and tomorrow the voting will also take place in the liberated territories,” he said.
Early presidential elections will take place in Azerbaijan on February 7.
