Central Election Commission hosts meeting with OSCE/ODIHR observer delegation

Chairman of Azerbaijan's Central Election Commission (CEC) Mazahir Panahov has met with the delegation of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR), which arrived in Azerbaijan to monitor the early elections to the parliament, Report informs referring to the CEC.

The head of the delegation Ditmir Bushati expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and inquired about the pre-election process.

Panahov, in turn, spoke about the process of preparation for the elections scheduled for September 1 this year, and noted that these will be the first parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan, which will be held in all sovereign territories of the country.

The parties also discussed other pre-election issues of mutual interest.
