Azerbaijan currently has an election environment that meets standards of a civilized society, the Deputy Chairman of Azerbaijan’s Central Election Commission (CEC), Rovzat Gasimov, said in an interview with Report.
Gasimov noted that some individuals are attempting to spread unfounded negative information.
The deputy chairman remarked, “Those who are biased against Azerbaijan’s success are trying to find and exaggerate any minor issue. We have not seen any exaggerations that are based on facts.”
He emphasized that the international community’s approach to the elections is quite appropriate, and all processes are designed to ensure free, transparent, and fair elections.
“The nomination of candidates, their registration, the pre-election campaign, and other significant processes involving all election subjects have been conducted in accordance with the law. I am confident that we will be able to uphold these standards even after the election,” Gasimov concluded.
