Azerbaijani leader: Holding these games in Turkiye creates additional opportunities for us

"This time, these games are being held in Konya after Baku, in a brotherly country," President Ilham Aliyev said at a meeting with Azerbaijani athletes competing at the 5th Islamic Solidarity Games held in Konya, Turkiye, on August 9, Report informs.

"I am sure you feel at home here. Of course, holding these games in Turkiye creates additional opportunities for us. We are delighted that these games are being held in brotherly Turkiye. I am sure that these games will be remembered as both a sports holiday and a holiday of Islamic solidarity," the President stressed.
