Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with the Country Director of the Asian Development Bank, Candice McDeigan, Report informs.
According to Report, Minister Jeyhun Bayramov informed the other side about the situation in the region during the post-conflict period, the large-scale restoration and construction work carried out. Noting that the elimination of the occupation factor created opportunities for the normalization of relations between the two countries, the Minister stressed the need for strict observance of the principles of international law- sovereignty, territorial integrity, and inviolability of international borders.
The meeting noted that all countries in the region would benefit from implementing trilateral statements, including the opening of communication and transport lines.
Candice said the information provided was essential for understanding the overall context of the current situation. He spoke about cooperation with the Azerbaijani side in many areas, including transport, energy, information technology, water, and other urban infrastructure services. According to McDaigan, the connection area remains the main direction.
McDeigan said he was pleased that Azerbaijan would host the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) Ministerial Conference this year.
The Minister told the interlocutor that our country highly appreciates the support of the Asian Development Bank for economic diversification and increased competition in Azerbaijan.
