Azerbaijan sees increase in population

The number of Azerbaijan’s population has been announced, Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.

The population of Azerbaijan increased by 31,580 people or 0.3 percent in January-October 2021 and reached 10,150,713 as of November 1, 2021.

According to the committee, 53.0% of the total population lives in cities, while 47.0% resides in rural areas.

Men constituted 49.9%, while women - 50.1%.

The population density was 117 people per square kilometer.
