Azerbaijan's real independence began after people invited Great Leader to power, Ilham Aliyev says

"Our life of true independence began in 1993 when the people appealed to the Great Leader and invited him to power," President Ilham Aliyev said during a meeting with public representatives in the village of Aghali, Zangilan district, on May 27, Report informs.

"Our presence here today, our participation in the opening of the village of Aghali, is due to the strengthening of our independence," he said.
