Azerbaijan's president, first lady visit Aghdam district

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva visited the Aghdam district on February 13, Report informs via AzerTag.

The president and the first lady attended the opening of the 110/35/10 kV Aghdam-1 and Aghdam-2 power substations of the Azerenergy Open Joint-Stock Company and the Digital Control Center of the Karabakh Regional Electric Network. Then, President Ilham Aliyev laid the foundations of light poles, other installations powered by alternative and renewable energy sources in Aghdam Industrial Park and carpet production enterprises, Park Forest Hotel Aghdam and a new residential complex consisting of 209 apartments.

Then the president and first lady viewed the progress of restoration work at the Aghdam Juma (Friday) Mosque initiated by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation. President Ilham Aliyev made a speech at the mosque.

The head of state also laid the foundation of the 210-bed Aghdam Central Hospital. President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva got acquainted with the conditions created at the headquarters of the special mission of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the liberated territories of the Karabakh economic region, visited the tombs and residence – Mansion complex of the Karabakh khans.
