Azerbaijan's population surpasses 10.2 million

Azerbaijan's population has surpassed the 10.2 million mark, according to Report, which cites the latest data released by the State Statistical Committee. As of July 1, 2024, the country's population stood at 10,200,013, reflecting a growth of 19,243 individuals or 0.2% since the beginning of the year.
Urban residents constitute 54.5% of the total population, while rural inhabitants account for 45.5%.
The gender balance in Azerbaijan remains relatively even, with 49.8% of the population being male and 50.2% being female.
