Azerbaijan purchases 4 remote-controlled mine-clearing robots

Azerbaijan has purchased 4 modern mine-clearing robots GCS (Global Clearance Solutions)-200 with a diesel engine and remote control.

Report informs that mine-clearing robots purchased by the Ministry of Emergency Situations will be used in areas liberated from occupation to clear mines from areas contaminated with anti-personnel and anti-tank mines.

The forces and means of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, together with other relevant state bodies, were actively involved in mine clearance work in the territories liberated from occupation from the first days. The sapper groups of the Special Risk Rescue Service of the Ministry have been conducting demining operations in Aghdam and Fizuli districts since January 2021.

To improve the quality and speed up demining work in a short time, the N military unit of the Special Risk Rescue Service of the Ministry was created with the stationing point in the city of Barda.
