Azerbaijan invites ODIHR, OSCE PA to send observers to early parliamentary elections

Two days ago, the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) and the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly (PA) received an official invitation from Azerbaijan to send observer missions to the early parliamentary elections in the country, diplomatic sources told Report.
The proposal is currently under consideration.
On June 28, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree dissolving the parliament of the 6th convocation and calling early parliamentary elections.
According to the order of the head of state, elections will be held on September 1, 2024.
