Azerbaijan increases fines for disposing garbage from vehicles

Azerbaijan has significantly increased fines for disposing of garbage and other objects from vehicles.

According to Report, President Ilham Aliyev has approved amendments to the Code of Administrative Offenses.

Under the new amendments, the fine for throwing garbage from ships has been raised from 30 manats ($17.65) to 300 manats ($176.47).

In addition, new fines have been established for individuals, officials, and legal entities who throw garbage or other objects from vehicles onto roads or road structures. Individuals will now face fines of 200 manats ($117.65), officials 1,000 manats ($588.24), and legal entities 4,000 manats ($2,353).
