Azerbaijan has installed web cameras in 1,000 polling stations across the country, Chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC) Mazahir Panahov told a press conference Sunday, Report informs.
Panahov noted that the cameras will record all activities until the voting protocols are prepared.
Panahov called on all eligible voters to actively participate in the elections. He announced that polling stations will close at 7:00 pm (GMT+4), after which initial results will be prepared. Throughout the day, preliminary information on the progress of voting and voter turnout will be provided five times.
The CEC chairman also assured that any incidents occurring at the polling stations will be promptly addressed by the precinct election commissions.
Panahov said that the observers of international organizations are observing the elections in a large number.
He recalled that 604 international observers were registered:
"Local observers are 112,749 people".
According to Panahov, 22 international media representatives have registered to follow the elections.
