Albanian President: Heydar Aliyev carried special weight among world's political leaders

Heydar Aliyev carried a particular weight among the political leaders of the world, Albanian President Bajram Begaj said at the "Heydar Aliyev 100: Life and Legacy" event in Baku, Report informs.

According to him, Heydar Aliyev's name is associated with Azerbaijan's development: "The name of Heydar Aliyev is associated with institutional reforms and economic development in Azerbaijan."

The head of state noted that communist regimes existed in both Albania and Azerbaijan, and an exceptional leader was required to get out of the dictatorship and create a country. According to him, Heydar Aliyev was able to cope with all the tasks he faced.

According to Bajram Begaj, Azerbaijan had a leader who, during the conflict, overcame difficulties, carried out reforms, created new global partnerships and managed to win the people's trust.

"Thirty years is a short period, but Azerbaijan has achieved success in this short period."

The Albanian president added that this requires being a genius, and he admires Heydar Aliyev for being such a genius.

"Azerbaijan and Albania today contribute to global peace and stability with energy and other projects. We share Heydar Aliyev's desire for friendship and partnership," he added.
