Adil Mammadov: WUF13 venue design emphasizes urban planning traditions

The design concept of Baku Olympic Stadium, which will host the 13th Session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13), prioritizes urban planning traditions, Adil Mammadov, Executive Director of the WUF13 Azerbaijan Operations Company, told a media briefing.

Report quotes him as saying the stadium has been divided into several zones.

"Zone A consists of five streets, each named after a different city of Azerbaijan. More than 20 conferences will be held there," he said.

Mammadov also noted that conditions have been created for international guests to participate in the event online.

He added that 14 rooms will be allocated for live broadcasting by media representatives.

According to the WUF13 official, the venue will also feature two dialogue rooms with a combined capacity of nearly 500 people.

He stated that simultaneous interpretation will be provided not only in the six official UN languages - Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian, and Spanish - but also in Azerbaijani and Turkish.

More than 160 interpreters from foreign countries have also been invited to Azerbaijan for the event.
