UN Secretary-General informed about Azerbaijani soldiers captured by Armenia in violation of international laws

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres was informed about the soldiers of the Azerbaijani Army, Agshin Babirov and Huseyn Akhundov, who were captured by Armenia in violation of international laws, Report informs, citing the letter addressed by Yashar Aliyev, Permanent Representative of Azerbaijan to the UN, to Guterres.
The diplomat said that the images published by the Armenian press showed the brutal beating of both soldiers in handcuffs.
“According to its relevant international obligations, Armenia should immediately release our servicemen, properly investigate and punish those responsible for the inhumane and degrading treatment of them,” he stressed.
