Ukrainian Supreme Mufti meets with Azerbaijani head of the Assembly 

Sheikh Ahmad Tamim, chairman of the Spiritual Administration of the Muslims of Ukraine, the Mufti of Ukraine, has met with the head of the Assembly of Nations of Ukraine, chairman of the United Ukrainian Azerbaijanis Congress (BUAK) Rovshan Tagiyev.

Report informs that during the meeting, Tagiyev gave information about the projects in which ethnic peoples, including Azerbaijanis, are actively involved, and spoke about the current state of rights and activities of Muslims in the country.

The Supreme Mufti said that Muslims have a large diaspora movement in Ukraine. He spoke about the importance of the representation of diaspora leaders in government and the legislature and called for more activity in this direction in the future. Tagiyev thanked the Supreme Mufti for his great role in promoting inter-religious tolerance in Ukraine. A number of other issues were discussed at the meeting.
