Park named after Azerbaijan's National Hero Shirin Mirzayev to open in Turkey

A park named after the National Hero of Azerbaijan, martyred lieutenant colonel Shirin Mirzayev will be opened tomorrow in Bursa, Turkey, Vasila Vahidgizi, head of the Promotion, Information and Analytical Analysis of the State Committee for Work with the Diaspora, told Report.

According to her, the National Hero's wife, former MP Flora Gasimova, representatives of the Bursa Municipality, and other officials will attend the event.

Shirin Mirzayev was born on January 5, 1947, in Khankendi. He was killed by a landmine on June 18, 1992, during a military operation in the direction of Sirkhavand, Aghdam district. In 1994, he was awarded the title of National Hero of Azerbaijan.
