Members of the Association of Friends of Azerbaijan in France have appealed to President of France Emmanuel Macron, protesting against the pro-Armenian position the French leader took during his recent interview with a local TV channel.
The Friends of Azerbaijan in France have accused Macron of pursuing the policy of double standards.
"You are trying to appease everyone altogether by repeating the 'all at once' policy that is so dear to you. You show your friendship with Armenia, while saying Azerbaijan is right," the appeal says.
The Association members announced that they do not doubt Macron's determination to work towards establishing sustainable peace based on dialogue. They called on the French leader not to yield to the fanatic speeches of a number of pro-Armenian Frenchmen.
"The norms of international law must always be the basis for serving the interests of our nation and all peoples," the appeal says.
