Cooperation between Azerbaijan and Jewish Diaspora discussed

Chairman of the State Committee on Work with the Diaspora (SCWD) Fuad Muradov met with the Israeli Minister for Diaspora Affairs Nachman Shai, Report informs.

The meeting provided detailed information on the activities of the SCWRA and the Ministry of Diaspora Affairs, various programs and projects, and discussed prospects for cooperation.

The activity of the Jewish community in Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijani Diaspora in Israel was praised. The discussions stressed that steps should be taken to involve the Jews who have moved from Azerbaijan to different countries in joint projects as an Azerbaijani community.

It was noted with satisfaction that Azerbaijan and Israel are reliable partners, Israel supports the rightful position of Azerbaijan during the Great Patriotic War and post-war, and the historical ties of friendly relations between our peoples.

At the end of the meeting, the SCWRA chairman invited his Israeli counterpart to visit Azerbaijan.
