Azerbaijanis in Canada protest libraries' refusal to accept books in their native language

The Azerbaijani Society of British Columbia has spoken out against discriminatory treatment of Azerbaijani-language literature in Canadian libraries.
Report informs, citing Azerbaijan’s State Committee on Work with Diaspora, that the society has launched a petition protesting the lack of Azerbaijani-language publications in Canadian libraries.
The petition highlights that for an extended period, libraries have unjustifiably refused to accept donated books in Azerbaijani, despite repeated offers from the diaspora.
The petition’s author emphasized that access to liteature in their native language holds special importance for the Azerbaijani community in Canada and called for immediate action to resolve the issue.
