The director of an Azerbaijani factory in Russia has died at a young age, writer-publicist Akbar Goshali told Report.

According to him, the director-general of the Lipetsk Cement Plant, one of the largest enterprises in Russia, an Azerbaijani Elvin Mammadov, originally from Sheki, died of heart failure at the age of 37.

Goshali said that the late Mammadov would be buried in Azerbaijan: "Work is underway to bring his body to Azerbaijan. The body of the deceased will be buried in Sheki."

Elvin Mammadov was the son of one of the famous Azerbaijanis living in Russia, a well-known philanthropist Alish Zabid Mammadov. Born in 1958 in Orabon village of Sheki, Alish Mammadov is a member of the State Assembly of the Republic of Sakha, Honorary Citizen of Sakha, and Honored Builder. He is currently the head of the Sakha Azerbaijanis Society, a diaspora organization in Sakha.
